Office Shutdown

Merry Christmas, and keep safe during the upcoming festive period. It has been a big year and I hope that you all take the time to rest and spend time with your family.

My office is now closed and will be open again on the 8th January, 2023.

Bushfires and Heatwaves

We have already seen hot and dry conditions in our community over the past few weeks and these conditions are forecast to continue throughout summer.

It is important that you reduce your fire risk and remain vigilant during a heatwave.

Road Safety

This holiday season it is up to all of us to take responsibility for our actions and stay safe on our roads.

All road users are being urged to take care, slow down and allow plenty of extra travel time to help keep themselves and other road users safe. Most importantly abide by the law and follow Australian road rules.

Please reach your destination safely and enjoy a happy and safe holiday season.

New Years Celebrations and Summer Holidays

There are many events and activities for all ages planned by local councils for New Years celebrations and the summer holidays.

If you are interested in spending New Years Eve locally, you can visit the council websites linked below for more information.

New Years celebrations in Liverpool will be held at Warwick Farm Racecourse from 5pm till 10pm on Sunday 31 December.

Fireworks will begin at 9pm.

Entry is free.

Fairfield City Council will be hosting their annual New Year’s Eve event at Fairfield Showground.

The event will be held on Sunday 31 December 2023 from 5pm till 10pm with a fairworks finale at 9:30pm.

Entry tickets can be bought online for $5.

New Years celebrations will be held at Koshigaya Park from 7pm till 12:00am with fireworks displays at 9:00pm and midnight.

Extra Rubbish Collections

Liverpool City Council and Fairfield City Council will be providing an additional recycling bin collection at no charge.

Between 25 December and 5 January Fairfield Council residents can leave both their yellow and red bins out on your regular weekly pick up.

Residents of Liverpool City Council can put out their yellow bins on both weeks between 1 January 2023 and 14 January 2024.
