2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games

The 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games are less than a week away and not only will our community be supporting the great Athletes that will be representing Australia in the UK but there will be representation from our very own local community.

“I am very pleased that two of our locals will be in Birmingham on the 28th, Ashleigh Gardner will be representing Australia in the Women’s Cricket and Uros Nikolic will be representing Australia in Judo” said Ms Anne Stanley.

Werriwa and the rest of the country has been through difficult times over the past couple of years and now more than ever we need a unifying event like the Commonwealth games. All Australians of all communities can be proud of our athletes representing us on the world stage.

Ms Stanley said, “I’d like to wish our two locals as well as all our amazing Australian Athletes the very best and they should know all of Australia is behind them.”
