DELIVERING SAFER ROADS FOR WERRIWA
Residents and commuters who travel through Werriwa will have safer roads thanks to the Albanese Labor Government’s 2025-26 Black Spot Program.
Over $1 million dollars has been dedicated to three locations in Werriwa to implement safety measures to decrease any risks occurring.
The Black Spot Program will fund safety improvements to:
• Box Road and Pine Road, CASULA – raised threshold, roundabout deflection improvements and kerb ramps - $170,000.
• Feodore Drive between Sandringham Drive and Spencer Road, CECIL HILLS – raised threshold, raised median, pedestrian fence on kerb, pedestrian crossing - $440,000.
• Sadleir Avenue, Tumbarumba Crescent and Celebration Road, HECKENBERG – raised threshold, rigid barrier, pedestrian crossing, raised island with stop, blister barrier linemarking, upgrade intersection from give-way to stop - $424,950.
The Albanese Government has increased the national Black Spot Program from $110 million to $150 million per year, meaning more money for our roads.
This funding for Werriwa follows on from the $2 million in funds obtained in the 2024-25 Black Spot Funding, and $6.9 million for substantial upgrades to the Kurrajong Road, Beech Road and Lyn Parade intersection.
